The National Cyber Emergency Response Team of Pakistan, in partnership with the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES), successfully conducted a comprehensive two-day cybersecurity initiative “Cyber Muhafiz” at FAST-NUCES, Islamabad.

Supported by ZettaByte as technology partners, the event aimed to strengthen National Cyber resilience and operational readiness through practical, hands-on exercises and expert-led knowledge sharing.

Event Overview

Day 1: Cyber Drill Training for Government Sector

  • Tactical cyber readiness through simulations and drills tailored for real-world threat scenarios
  • Over 100 participants from key government entities including Ministry of Defence, State Bank of Pakistan, and more
  • Hands-on experience with both red and blue team strategies
  • Reinforcement of defense-in-depth approach to cybersecurity

Day 2: Advanced Cybersecurity Workshops & Industry Collaboration

  • Advanced penetration testing workshops and vulnerability assessment training
  • Industry collaboration sessions with private sector cybersecurity experts
  • Demonstration of cutting-edge cybersecurity tools and technologies
  • Networking opportunities and knowledge sharing between government and private sector

The event concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Khurram Javed and Dr. Muhammad Asim, who expressed their appreciation to all participants, trainers, and partners for their valuable contributions to the event's success. The two-day initiative successfully strengthened collaboration between government entities and private sector cybersecurity experts.
